Despite some serious maintenance issues and outdated decor, the resort offers stunning views, especially at sunset. Staff members were friendly and helpful, which made our stay more enjoyable. However, the issues with cleanliness, especially in the unit, and uncomfortable furniture took away from the experience. Overall, it's a mixed bag of clean surroundings but with many needs for improvement.

However, I was frustrated by the limited kitchen supplies and cleanliness issues in the unit. My stay at the resort was a mix of good and bad experiences. The location is fantastic, nestled in nature with great views, but the facilities left a lot to be desired. The state of the rooms and common areas was not ideal; they seemed old and not very clean. We had a wonderful family getaway at Highlands at Sugar. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and we really enjoyed the spacious suite and fully equipped kitchen.
